The flurries and cold weather haven’t stopped our campaign! We’ve been working around the district to get our message out to you, the voters.
Last Sunday, I participated in the Montclair Doughnut Run with thousands of neighbors from our area. It was really fun to run, and I didn’t waste the opportunity to meet new people and spread the word about our campaign, taking one of our yard signs along for the run.
Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to participate in several candidate forums. In Morris Plains, last Sunday, all candidates came together on one stage for the first time since the start of the race. While other candidates focused on the problems facing our country, I spoke on the solutions I’m ready to deliver to make lives better.

We did it! We collected 1,110 signatures to get our campaign on the ballot, the most of any Morris County-based candidate!
Our dedicated “grassroots army” of regular people mobilized to collect signatures across Morris, Essex, and Passaic counties over the past ten days. Our all-volunteer team mounted a concerted effort to collect signatures with integrity, spending the week of the Thanksgiving holiday knocking on hundreds of doors and engaging with neighbors across the district.

As the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun, and week two of our campaign was even better than the first!
After Congresswomen Sherrill’s resignation last week, Governor Murphy announced the date for our special primary. The universe is on our side, since the election will take place on my birthday, FEBRUARY 5th! This announcement kicked off the race for signatures. From Chatham to Morristown, from Bloomfield to South Orange, and everywhere in between, we’ve collected hundreds of signatures to get our campaign on the ballot. I’m incredibly grateful to all who’ve supported us and to all the amazing folks on our team who’ve spent hours collecting signatures. Thank you!

As a military combat veteran who grew up poor, I know how to lead during difficult times. As a former federal employee, I managed dynamic solutions for emerging economic development needs in Afghanistan. These experiences inform my progressive, innovative solutions for the problems facing our country.
